4. Abraham Sampson Surnames
Abraham Sampson's Mayflower Associated Surnames Through 4 Generations.
Abraham's children and grandchildren married into the Mayflower families. Four of his seven children married a descendant of a Mayflower Passenger, the other three children of Abraham had children that married a descendant of a Mayflower Passenger. Many of Abraham's great-grandchildren also married a Mayflower Passenger descendant.
5a. Abraham Sampson Genealogical database Information
The Abraham Sampson Database is published using an online genealogy program named TNG.
Abraham Sampson was christened on 14 August, 1614 in Campton, England. There is documentation and strong DNA evidence that he is the cousin of Henry Sampson, the Mayflower passenger.
The "Descendants of Abraham Sampson" is a 13 Generation Report originally compiled by Stacy B. C. Wood, Jr. and is based on the Pilgrim Henry Samson Kindred's "Abraham Sampson Database of Sources". Because there are no recent publications similar to the Mayflower Society's Five Generation Project specifically for non-Pilgrim Abraham Sampson, this database was created to help prospective descendants find sources to help prove their lines to Abraham.
Bob Sampson, a PHSK member and the Sampson Genealogy Project Administrator, has spent many hours editing and adding to the Descendants of Abraham Sampson TNG database.
We are excited to provide this large online database of Kindred for Abraham Sampson.

5c. Deborah Samson (Sampson) Family and Historical Information
Deborah Samson Gannett, also known as Deborah Samson or Deborah Sampson disguised herself as a man, and served in the Continental Army and fought in the American Revolutionary War for 17 months under the name Robert Shirtliff.
Deborah Samson is a 3rd great granddaughter of Abraham Sampson. Her ancestors dropped the "p" in Sampson and used the surname Samson.
The Deborah Samson section includes interesting family and historical information about Deborah Samson's life, including her military service in the American Revolution as a female soldier.
Deborah Samson was born on Dec 17, 1760 in Plympton, MA, at the house of her Grandfather, Jonathan Samson Sr.
She lived here from 1760-1766. with her parents Jonathan Samson Jr and Deborah Bradford Samson, until her parents divorced. Her mother, Deborah Bradford is a great granddaughter of William Bradford.

Susan Abanor used the “WikiTree Sourcer” tool to search *for* descendants of Henry Samson that have cited as sources Daughters or Sons of the American Revolution (DAR/SAR) applications, or otherwise been tagged “Revolutionary War Patriot”. The Sourcer found 50 Patriots, Those Patriots are listed with a link to the source on WikiTree.

The Samson (Sampson) DNA Project at FamilyTreeDNA,com is affiliated with the Pilgrim Henry Samson Kindred.
The mission of the Pilgrim Henry Samson Kindred DNA project is to gather a body of DNA evidence that may be used alongside traditional genealogical evidence to further all Samson/Sampson genealogical understanding.
- First and foremost, we are attempting to gain as much knowledge on descendants of Henry Samson and his cousin Abraham Sampson and learn much more regarding any Y-DNA markers that may be clearly associated to their descendant branches.
- Secondly, to test males carrying the Samson or Sampson surname that are rooted in the families of England. This is equally critical to unfold our deep history if any Samson/Sampson males can be found there.
